The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act) is administered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The Act assigns OSHA two regulatory functions: setting standards and conducting inspections to ensure that employers are adopting certain practices, means, methods, or processes reasonably necessary and appropriate to protect workers on the job.

Last but not least, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a landmark piece of US labor law legislation that outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
